                          =========================

 sir,

         I would like to express my displeasure at the inconveniences caused by howkars who spread their wares on the footpath.The problems posed by them are growing graver day by day.Makeshift stalls are coming up daily on the pavements leaving a narrow strip for the pedestrian to pass through.So the passers by are compelled to walk on the main road instead of footpath.As a result,Main roads become crowded causing traffic hazard.men are often knocked down or run over by the sppeding vehicles of the road.This nuisance ought to be stopped.

But the evietion o0f the hawkers from the main roads to be carried out gradually and not focibly.They should be given alternative stalls in hawkers'corners so that they are not thrown out of employment.

  Lastly,I would like to appeal to the not to purchase any commodities,however cheap and convenient,from the howkers who occupy the footpaths after they are cleared.
